On July 7, 2019, Gerry and Heidi Peters will be cycling an 80km event, Okanagan Trestles Tour, from Kelowna to Penticton. The tour follows the historic Kettle Valley Rail Trail starting at the famous Myra Canyon, Kelowna to Penticton.

Gerry and Heidi are part of the 2019 Cycle of Hope Team. We are riding on behalf of the women at the Abbotsford Women’s Centre. All funds will go toward the programming for the women, which includes mentorship, educational materials, and professional counselling.

Gerry and Heidi are Cycling for Hope.  Their desire is to help put hope within reach for women that struggle with addictions. Adult & Teen Challenge is one ministry where Gerry and Heidi have witnessed the transformation from hopeless to hope-filled in the hearts, souls, and minds of women that choose a new life. Their desire is that this cycle event will provide necessary funding directly associated to the programming costs.

Gerry and Heidi personally know the meaning of feeling hopeless and then receiving renewed health and purpose. Gerry has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for 36 years. He knows what it feels like to be restricted to a wheel chair. However, in August of 2010, Gerry and Heidi travelled to Mexico to undergo a successful treatment for MS. With renewed strength and hope, Gerry now donates his time and skills as a pastor, counsellor, and teacher, helping people who cannot find hope on their own.

Cycling 80km for a 64 year old, living with MS, will be very challenging yet worth the struggle and pain. They are appreciative of every person and dollar that sponsors their ride and honours these women.
